1. Online Classes begin again- (April 7, 2021)

“God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made mothers.”
Due to the long lockdown for pandemic schools, colleges and other educational institutes are closed. To ensure that the students do not miss out on lessons due to the COVID-19 induced lockdown, Guru Nanak Public School started the new academic year of 2021-2022 from 7thApril 2021 with virtual online classes. Teachers started using online apps for lectures, tutorial and assessments like last session. E-learning poses a challenge to both teachers and students.The encouragement from Principal Mrs. Rita Joshi motivate the teachers and helps them to overcome these difficulties to begin with the new session with the virtual class. By this students are getting busy with online virtual classes, assessments, tutorials videos and test series.
2. Mother’s Day -

Mother’s day is special for mothers as well as children. To celebrate this special day students were given activities to show their appreciation to their mothers. Students did wonderful jobs by making cards, gifting those to their mothers. Students shared those activities with their teachers. Students enjoyed this activity even from home in this pandemic.
3. Celebration of Independence Day (August 15th, 2021)
75th Independence Day was celebrated with great pomp and joy at Guru Nanak Public School, Badgaon, Kota. Teachers of the school themselves arranged the cultural programme. The programme began with the auspicious unfurling of the tricolor by the chief guest Mr. Sukhvindan Barar. All teachers saluted the flag and sang the National Anthem. The celebration progressed further with the Cultural Programme. A group of teachers sang a parody of songs on patriotism. A group of teachers presented a skit to enlighten the difficulties faced by teachers and students during the “Online Classes”. Hindi teacher and renowned poet Mr. Parmanand Dadhich presented a poem “Our Glorious History”. In the progression of the cultural programme one of our English teachers recited a poem, which threw the light on “How India had progressed in different fields throughout these years. Hindi Teacher “Mrs Sadhna Gupta” also presented a poem in the honour of our great soldiers, who are the fearless defenders of freedom.
One of the trustee members Sardar Harbhajan Singh Ji gave a heartwarming speech. Through his speech, he enlightened everyone about the need of adapting practical knowledge as well as Book knowledge in our life. Our Principal ma’am talked about the duties during the Covid in her informative speech. The administrator of the school retired colonel Amar Veer Singh Ghuman, threw light on about all round development for building a happy present and strong future. After congratulating all on 75th Independence Day celebration, he thanked the venerable guest for being present at the celebration.
At the end, sweets were distributed.
4. Physical appearance of students in school (September 1st, 2021)
After taking classes on virtual platform for nearly five months due to second lockdown, according to an official statement issued from state government, Guru Nanak Public School, Badgaon welcomed the students of classes from IX to XII on September 1st, 2021 while following the guidelines issued from the government. For the safety of students and staff members the school building is being sanitized daily and other norms issued from government are being followed. The students are very eager to come back and attend the offline classes. The students attended the classes with the concerned form signed by their parents. The busses are provided and sanitized for safety of students. From the first day reopening of school, the joy of coming back to school could be seen on their faces.
5. Teachers day (September 5th, 2021)
5th September is celebrated as Teacher’s Day in India every year on to appreciate the role played by teachers in the life of students–the leaders of tomorrow. The day also celebrated to pay tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President of the country and a visionary educator. Teachers provide the power of knowledge and education and create possibilities for better future. Due to Covid students could not celebrate this day with teachers in school. Still students of Guru Nanak Public School celebrated this day by making beautiful cards for their teachers. They made creative video for their teachers through which they conveyed their regards to their teachers by reciting poems, songs and short speeches. The teachers were happy to see to the expression of the students and were touched with their love and affection.
6. Rastriya Poshan Maah (September 8th, 2021)
POSHAN Abhiyan (National Nutrition Mission) was launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister on 8th March, 2018 in which “My Plate Icon” concept was introduced. The Programme strives to reduce the level of stunting, under – nutrition, low birth weight in children and anemia in adolescent girls, pregnant women, lactating mothers as well as children.
Rashtriya Poshan Maah is being celebrated during the month of September, 2021. To keep the idea behind this abhiyan, Guru Nanak Public School celebrated “Poshan Maah” by encouraging students to donate healthy food/fruits etc to the needy people in the neighborhood atleast once in a week of September to imbibe a sense of social responsibility towards the society. One of our teacher “Mrs Satvinder Kaur enlightened the students about the importance of food and water in daily life style. By this activity teachers made the students aware about the nutritious value of the food to keep oneself healthy.
7. Gandhi Jayanti / Shastri Jayanti ( October 2, 2021)
This year the nation celebrated the anniversaries of the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi and the former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri with enthusiasm. In 2021, Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayanti coincided with the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, which was inaugurated on 12 March, 2021 by the Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi. Students of Guru Nanak Public School enthusiastically took part in the Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayanti event celebrations. Students celebrated Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayanti by reciting poem, speeches on the biography of Gandhi ji and Shastri ji. Student got motivated and enlightened by the way these two great freedom fighters of our country lived their life.
8. 65th Under 19 Boys - Girls Volleyball Competition.
65th Under 19 Girls Volleyball Competition was organized in Government Senior Secondary School, Shripura. In this competition, Guru Nanak Public School bagged the first position. Out of these teams, nine girl students have been selected for the state level.
65th Under 19 Boys Volleyball Competition was organized by Government Higher Secondary School, Nanata Mahal in Government Higher Secondary School Police Line. In this competition Guru Nanak Public School got second position. Out of these teams, three students have been selected for the state level. On this occasion of victory, the Principal of school hearty congratulated all the players and wished for their bright future for upcoming achievements.
9. Children's Day Celebration -
“Chilhood is an enchanting vista, an endless fun, a joyful classroom, an experience, an era of Imagination.”
To celebrate this childhood of students, Guru Nanak Public school organised Children’s Day celebration with great enthusiasm. In the presence of Principal ma’am Mrs. Rita Joshi and Teachers Sports events were organized for students. Students were excited and enjoyed this event a lot. The winners of the sports events were rewarded. Students also watched motivational and knowledgeable clippings of renowned personalities and animation movie was shown in the junior classes. At the end of the celebration principal ma’am enlighten the importance of Children’s Day and its historical background. She also threw light on the personality of Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru whose birth anniversary, we celebrate as Children’s Day
10. New Year Celebration - (December 24, 2021)
Guru Nanak Public School bid farewell to 2021 and welcomed upcoming 2022 by celebrating last working day, 24thDec 2021 in school. This day was made special for students. New Year welcoming was done praying the healthy life of everyone and removal of the Covid. Students prayed for the harmony and lots of happiness for the beloved country.
To celebrate the upcoming year, students were asked to come in the coloured dress. They were told to bring their favorite food. Students enjoyed activities like making delicious items- bhelpuri & healthy fruits chat by flameless cooking. Students participated enthusiastically in various competitions like- Writing competition, New Year wishing Card for loved ones, paragraph writing on – Resolution for 2022, Mistakes committed in 2021 & won’t be repeated in 2022.
Best activity was awarded by the class teacher. The day ended on a happy note with candies distribution. The day was really well spent with happiness & joy.
11. Vaccination Camp for 15-18 years old at Guru Nanak Public School (JANUARY 05th, 2022)
The vaccination camp was held at Guru Nanak Public School, Badgaon, Bundi Road, Kota on 05th January, 2022 for the children of age group 15-18 years.
Around 150 students got vaccinated successfully.
(A circular by the education department to the heads of schools said, “Directorate of Education is committed to taking all necessary measures to safeguard students studying in school of DoE, as Omicron variant which has been categorised as a variant of concern, it is imperative that DoE ensures all government/ private-unaided school students aged 15 to 18 years get vaccinated on immediate basis.”)
The class teachers of relevant sections were put in charge of informing parents to take their children either to the nearest centre or to get vaccinated at Guru Nanak Public school, Badgaon, Kota by the team of medical college, Kota for which they were asked to bring their Aadhar Card.
As on December 25, PM Modi announced that vaccination for the 15 -18 year age group will begin from January 03rd 2022.
Those born in 2007 and before are eligible for the vaccine.

Dear Parents,
We made tremendous progress in the past few months, but we still have work to do to ensure that every student has the opportunity and confidence to return to the classroom, this fall and start making up for lost instructional and extracurricular time this summer as both vaccination and testing are critical factors in the Administration’s goal to safely reopen all the academic activities, I urge to help students age 15 and up, their families and all school staff with getting vaccinated.
Accelerating vaccination is a core component of our national strategy to defeat the virus and a key strategy in alignment with Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance as a way to increase safety and reduce risk of transmission.
SALUTARY ADVISE TO THE STUDENTS POST –VACCINE
The minor symptoms that may be seen after vaccination in adolescents can be fever, headache, pain at the sight of injection, fatigue, etc.
Post- vaccination, it’s important to follow all the health guidelines like drinking a lot of water, eating a well-balanced diet including green vegetables, turmeric, garlic and seasonal fruits rich in vitamin C. Also advised to take good sound sleep of 7-8 hrs.
12. Students selected in inspire award
Three students of Guru Nanak Public School, Badgaon, Kota, Anant Sharma (Class – 8), Harshit Sharma (Class -7) and Aradhya Maheshwari (Class 10) are selected under INSPIRE Award Scheme, one of the flagship programmes of DST (Department of Science and Technology), Government of India and Ministry of Science and Technology, for their unique ideas in 10,019 students. This award is based on innovative ideas in the field of science and Technology.
School family gives their best wishes to the selected students and their mentor Ms Leena Khatri for encouraging the students. School family motivates the students to prepare for the further competition with great enthusiasm.
13. Workshop on fire extinguisher demonstration ( February 23rd, 2022)
R- Rescue - Life and material, where life is given priority.
A – Alarm- Raise the alarm to evacuate the place and inform the fire station for immediate help.
C – Content – Means seal the place to avoid further spreading of fire.
E – Extinguisher – Use of fire extinguisher available in the vicinity.
The second easy step was- PASS
P - Pull the pin of fire extinguisher to loosen the upper lever.
A – Aim at the source of fire from the distance of 8 to 10 feet and for 16 to 18 seconds.
S – Squeeze the lever with right hand and aim the hose with left hand on the source of fire.
S – Sweep to avoid the spread of fire sweep the hose from left to right and vice versa to cover full area.
The overall demonstration was very knowledgeable and we all are thankful to sardar Gurpreet Singh ji, Principal ma’am and management for organizing this wonderful programme.
